Rangers drop 1 of 2 to Staples, Game 2 suspended 
Game One
The Ranger baseball team lost game one of a conference doubleheader with Staples-Motley 8-7 on Tuesday. 

Connor Zender started on the mound and pitched five innings, striking out nine Cardinals and only allowing one earned run.
Zender also led C-I at the plate, smashing a two run home run in the first inning and finishing with three RBIs in the game.

Dietrich Winegarner also had a solid game offensively, going 3-4 with three singles in the game.






































Game Two

Game two fo the doubleheader was suspended in the fifth inning due to darkness. The Rangers were leading the game 10-7 at that time.

The Rangers jumped out to a 10-0 lead but were unable to hold off the Cardinals offense. 

Landon Erickson, Kale Dugan, and Carter Holtzleicer each contributed two hits a piece in the game. Including an RBI double by Holtzleicer.

This game will be completed at a later date yet to be determined.
